DH and I are heading in the TTC direction, so I am looking into my options. Doc is calling today to go over things but I am anxious to hear the answer. Anybody know or anyone go through this transition?

Re: Alternative to Zoloft safe for pregnancy?
"There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. So love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."
I took it during my pregnancy starting at 23 weeks when I developed some depression/anxiety. I, too, had several miscarriages before having a successful pregnancy, which they think had to do with the onset of depression/anxiety. I didn't try any alternatives. I think Zoloft has the most research backing it up.
I don't know your story, but I saw you lost a son at 10 months old...my heart aches for your loss.

I am also on Zoloft (since conception and I'm due May 8), and I've asked many medical professionals about the safety of taking while pregnant. They all say it's okay. I've called Motherisk (research centre at the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital) many times about it, and all the studies they have (moms who take up to 250 mg per day) done say it is safe to take while pregnant. A few percentage of babies my have 'withdrawal' symptoms, like difficulty breathing or irritability, but they all recover 100%, usually within 3 weeks (worst case scenerio). I totally understand your hesitancy and your worry - I went off zoloft to get pregnant with my first and what a disaster that was. I've also met moms and their kids who were all subjected to zoloft from conception and they're all good to go!!! YOU and your BABY will be fine!!! Have faith in that.
And I'm also so so sorry to hear of your loss... heartbreaking
