Based on recommendations from a few mommy friends I believe I will be using a Chicco Key Fit 30 car seat which fits into a baby trend snap and go stroller frame and I will also register for the Baby Jogger City Mini. It isn't a true jogger with a fixed tri wheel, however from what I've been told although you aren't "supposed" to jog with it according to the manufacturer, you can.
We're going with the 2010 Uppababy Vista, funny I just posted about color selection. To anyone else who is thinking about getting a Vista, there is an awesome deal on babycatalog.com (20% off). Let me know if you want the details.
well I got a graco travel system and it has been super and also my graco soothing center accepts the carseat from it if the baby is sleeping when you come in the house you can snap the pod seat out and snap your car seat right in! Not to mention they make stand alone frames for the carseat to become a swing too. It has been super!
With DD we got the Chicco Cortina travel system, it worked really well for it's purpose but we're splurging on a Phil & Teds sport with doubles kit this time around.
For baby #1 we had/have a Chicco Cortina stroller. It has worked very well for us and we didn't think it was big/heavy for a travel system stroller either.
As baby #2 is coming when DS will only be 23.5 months we are probably going with the Joovy Ergo Caboose.
I think we'll probably get a lightweight stroller to start out with...and determine later on what exactly will work best for us. I'd hate to spend a ton of money on something only to find out it's not the best fit. That's just advice that I've gotten from those with experience.
I am kind of torn right now. I really love the Bumbleride Indie .... but I feel like it is too expensive. It would by far be the most expensive thing on the registry.
So for the moment I am leaning towards the Kolcraft Contours 3 Wheel Option, but there is a chance that it won't fit in my trunk. I am hoping that when we go to register BRU will let us take it out and and try it. If it won't fit then we are definitely going for the Bumbleride.
We have the chicco cortina travel system that we will use for that purpose.
But then we have the Phill & Teds with doubles seat that we will use as well when DD2 needs to ride in something as well (DD1 will be a full time walker from now on).
Re: stroller?
I'coo Targo by Grand Touring Baby in Houndstooth.
I might get the Maxi Cosi Foray

We're deciding between Uppa Baby or Bumbleride.

With DS we got the baby trend snap and go and then the baby jogger city mini - LOVED both of them.
Not sure what double we're getting but I'm leaning towards splurging on the baby jogger city select.
ditto
