I was just looking at the weight post and noticed that NO ONE posted saying they are 40+ weight gainers (I will make myself feel better by not revealing the exact number...). Well, I am! And, I know I am not the only one. I am not proud that I have gained alot but I refuse to believe I am the only one!
ETA: My Dr. is not overly concerned with my weight gain, although she does stress that it will be more difficult to lose this much after LO arrives.
Re: Where the big gainers at?
My Mom gained alot with all 4 of her pregnancies, so I sort of knew to expect it. But, it is good to know there is life after pregnancy weight gain!
Big brother and sister are excited to meet the new baby! It's a GIRL!

I wasn't underweight to begin with, I was pretty healthy, and I've still gained over 40 pounds.
I did with DS1, too, and like the PP I lost it all and some by the time DS1 was 9 months old. I pretty much knew I'd gain like crazy again this time. My doctor hasn't said anything so I'm not worrying about it.

As of yesterday, I was up 41 lbs at my doctor appointment. I've been gaining a lot over the pregnancy and they hadn't said anything up until yesterday. I'm trying to slow it down now so I don't go over 50. It's my own fault for eating so much junk
at 36 weeks I am almost 60 lbs heavier than I was prepregnancy. From 130 to 189.
Midwives think it is great...good breastfeeding stores.....I feel like a whale!
I was at a healthy weight before pregnancy and I"ve gained between 60-70 lbs.
My doctors aren't concerned about my weight since I was very underweight shortly before I got pregnant (I went down to 73lbs then stayed in the 90lbs range for months - I'm 5'7")... What does concern them is the edema that's causing most of the weight gain...
I have edema EVERYWHERE. My face isn't too bad, yet, but my limbs are pretty puffy. My legs keep swelling so bad that my toes go numb.
I also went from barely an A-cup to a DD. That right there is probably a good couple of pounds.
I tend to gain rapidly, and lose rapidly. My wardrobe is literally all size 00/0 (and kids clothes), and a 14-16 but nothing in between. I just rapidly bounce from one extreme to the other. It drives me crazy.
I've gained 60lbs. Which is kind of scary but I was at least 15lbs underweight to begin with. First tri I was horribly nauseous and all I could eat was carbs so I gained a lot of weight at first. Now I've kind of leveled out. My bp is normal and my dr isn't concerned. I just never thought I would gain this much, I have a fast metabolism and could always eat whatever I wanted and not gain a pound, so it's alarming to see what the scale says. But I know it's for the baby and I know I can get it all off with some hard work this summer!
