  We're in a 1-bedroom too, and right now the "nursery" is in the bedroom. We bought a mini crib, which helped a lot with the space - it fits perfectly in the corner! It's the DaVinci Emily mini crib.

  

  OhDeeDoh is a great resource for "nursery tours," especially for smaller spaces. I totally love this one, which is basically created in a hallway (we have a space we may convert this way):

  We are in the same situation, a one bedroom, 750 square feet.  We are cutting our living room in half with a temporary wall to create a very small nursery.  Hopefully it will work out for a few years.
