I love the name Sawyer and even started calling this baby Sawyer. Some people had brought up the Lost reference but I didn't care.
What turned me off about the name was that I was worried it was going to start becoming super popular. I have seen it mentioned on a few message boards here and there lately and also used as a girl's name.
Although I still love the name, I have shelved it for now as one to watch and maybe use later
I know this is probably only me, but I immediately first think The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and all those books I read in high school. Secondly, I think of LOST. Either way, it is just nms.

I love Sawyer! I think a lot of names would go well as a mn. Sawyer Ross popped into my head so that is my suggestion.

I don't take one single minute for granted.
nms, but not awful or anything. I'd just be careful about not choosing a mn that comes from LOST. You may not watch the show, but lots of people do, and naming your kid Sawyer Jack or Sawyer Miles (Sawyer Jin?) will look a tad obsessive. JMO.

One of my my nephews is a Sawyer. He's a lovely little boy and I love his name.
His middle name is James. I would suggest a name with either 1 or 3 syllables like
Sawyer Clark, Sawyer Gage
Sawyer Benjamin, Sawyer Joshua

Sorry, I didn't answer the rest of your question!
Some of the middle names that I had liked when I considered this name were:
Sawyer Jack, Sawyer Blaine, Sawyer William, Sawyer Miles
I'm not a fan.

NMS, but it's not awful. I would go with a more simple/traditional mn.
Sawyer Joseph
Sawyer James
Sawyer Thomas
Sawyer Henry
Sawyer Michael

I like it.. would really need to know last name to suggest middle but would prefer something classic and short like Ryan, James, Thomas etc..
