Where did you get your meds from? Are there any local pharmacies that carry (or can get) injectable meds (Gonal-F or Follitism)? And any compound pharmacies that can do the progesterone suppositories?
the only injects I did were for IVF.. I ended up just ordering them through The Apothecary Shop, who had decent (although not the best) prices. Really, I ordered them one day and they overnighted them to me for free, so it was pretty easy.
I'm sure there's some place in town that does it, but the mail order was easy enough.
I'm in NE Houston (Humble/Atascocita). I know of one place in New Caney, but I really thought that there was someplace in the med center.
I just wanted to compare prices before I order online. I'm waiting for them to clear it through my insurance first, to see what they pay for since they covered most of it last time. And the suppositories, that were not covered, were cheaper through Walgreens than the online company last time.
Quizzle- didn't you use Dr. Gill? They told me they only use MetroDrugs.
I was able to buy Ovadrel (sp ?) at the pharmacy located in the lobby of the building where OGA is (Fannin near Reliant).. Because Fertility Spec. of Houston is in the building I think they stock things for their patients.

Do you know the name of the pharmacy or a phone # for them?
It's right next door to Dr Gill's Fannin location.
Google Houston compounding pharmacies and you'll see quite a few, I bet any of them can do the progesterone.
For the injectibles I ordered mine from IVFmeds.com for 2 of the cycles I did and from the Apothecary Shop for the other cycle when I didn't have time to wait for a long shipping time to get it from ivfmeds.
Dr Gill used to do Apothecary Shop, no idea why they changed.
I buy my Ovadril from here. One time I forgot to order it until late in the day and I had it the next morning. They've been awesome. Kroger quoted me over $120 and I paid $44 including shipping from Freedom.
Yeah, they did Apothecary Shop back in Oct-Nov, maybe MetroDrug has better prices now or something?
But MaryLu told me that they'd call in wherever I wanted, too, I think. I went ahead and went with Apothecary Shop because they did such a good job with finding all my information and benefits before they contacted me that I didn't mind paying a little more for the good customer service.
