When I got there, the cramps had me doubled over. I felt the blood coming out of me very quickly. I went right into check in and then had to wait 1hr for registry.
Once I got back to my room they took my BP, temp and O2 levels. A nurse came in and tried to take blood out of my right arm and failed, so she went to my left arm.
The ER OB came in with her NP and they did a pelvic exam. Awesome, I know. There was too much blood so they had to swab it a lot and it was so painful when she touched it.
I waited a long time and they came back and said my levels went up "nicely" so they said I was getting a u/s. That's when they did the catheter. Holy freaking crap it was weird. The iodine hurt and it was very very awkward when she put it in.
They wheeled me down for my u/s and she put stuff in the catheter to make my bladder bigger. Baby measured 6w2d and had a hb of 122. (6w4d with 136hb yesterday).
When they took the catheter out I had to pee, so they took me down the hall. I had no underwear on and blood dripped down my leg. When I went, clots came plopping out and one large one was on my toilet paper. Cramps picked back up.
I can't do heavy lifting for 24 hrs and have to keep it minimal after that.
The ER OB said she's hopeful, but there's a great chance this could end badly. Thankfully DH is home tomorrow and Friday to help me.
Re: I'm back from the ER (long)
So still no answer as to what is going on? I am frustrated for you. I wish they could figure it out.
Sending you all kinds of dust and T&P.
Bloggin' It
I was crying and begging them to give me some answer as to why I was bleeding.
She felt so bad.
Ugh! I am so sorry it's so rough for you. I wish it was not so confusing. (((hugs)))
My Blog
wow, so much going on. I'm glad the baby is OK, but all the bleeding and clots - too scary :-(
I hope you feel better, the bleeding stops and LO grows and grows.
(((( HUGS ))))
Wow, this has been such an ordeal for you. I hope the bleeding is over and done with soon and this will all end well. When you say that it was painful for them to do the exam with all the bleeding, maybe something more superficial is the cause of the bleeding and they were there touching/irritating it more. I hope that it really isn't threatening your pregnancy. I wouldn't worry too much (tough, I know) about the difference in size and heart rate. The heart rate fluctuates normally; also this early the heart beat is so small on that u/s that where the tech marks the start/end of the frequency is something that could vary by each tech...meaning the h/r could seem to be two different rates even if measured back to back from one another. Same thing goes for CRL of the baby; two techs could measure it totally differently which is why they always say +/- 4 days or whatever.
Again, I hope this really goes well for you and the bleeding can stop so as to give you a break from the stress. Hang in there. We're all here.

I'm sorry you are going through all of this.
It seems to be a goose chase to figure out what's going on - I've been keeping up with your posts here and on 1st tri.
What does your cervix look like?? I had a friend who went through what you are in the process of, and she ended up having to have a cerclage put in at 7 weeks and was on bedrest until 36 weeks. Sucks to be so long, but you do what you have to do. I'm wondering if that is an option for you?
This really seems to be too much bleeding, too many questions, not enough answers and no one helping you besides just looking at the baby. Surely there is SOMETHING they can do - why aren't they? Have you considered switching OBs to get a second opinion? Is your OB even being helpful at all?
