Hospital tip - constipation

When DS was born 3 years ago, the hospital gave colace as a stool softener - having been a c-section, I was on percocet.  The constipation was HORRIBLE.  Anyway - this time around, they did senokot instead of colace and it has made ALL the difference!!  Just thought I'd share.

    Another tip: If given a juice selection order some apple juice at every meal. I did not have any issues after that!

    Can you take senokot while pg?

    Great advice. Now that I've been there, I fear the first post partum poop much more than the delivery. There's no epidural for that nightmare.
