TTC after 35

First clomid cycle and grew a large cyst on ovary.

So excited about finally getting some help and when I went for a pelvic U/S they seen a large cyst on my right ovary and now I can't take the clomid for three months.  If I don't shed it by then I will have to have surgery.  I didn't even get to poas cause the us tech said I wasn't pregnant....UGH... cd32 and awaiting evil MRS. Flow.  I am so frustrated, beginning to really think this isn't meant to be.  My dh thinks we should just leave well enough alone.  So sad! Oh, I got to see six pregnant ladies and two brand new babies while waiting for thirty minutes, i was choking back the tears, makes me feel mad at myself because i shouldn't be so bitter.

  • Tumble-

Please hang in there!  This was exactly what happened to me too. I was put on the BCP to try to reduce the cyst for three months and it didn't work so off to surgery I went.  The surgery was easier than I thought it would be and I was PG with my DD about 6 months after my surgery.

GL to you and don't give up!

  • The clomid cysts usually go away prety quiclkly...and they should have warned you this might happen.

Are you seeing an RE or your ObGyn?

  • OBGYN! Will change soon though probably!  Thanks
  • I got a cyst on my ovary from follistim - my RE didn't warn me it was a possibility (not that I would have done anything differently) although I was warned about OHSS - are they the same thing?  I find out on Monday what the next steps are - so hoping it's not BCP or surgery.  I hope your cyst disappears soon.
  • OHSS? sorry still learning.
