so in my desperation to get sleep, i have been incredibly inconsistent and impatient with my methods to get my DD to sleep better (she used to sleep great! i miss those days). anyways, i bought this book awhile ago and used some of the techniques for like a week and then was just so fed up with no sleep i kinda gave up. then, after talking with some friends and many people recommending "healthy sleep habits happy child", we tried CIO. i'm not against CIO per se- but i think after trying it a couple nights, my DD is not ready for this approach, so i'd like to wait until she's passed six months and try some gentler approaches until then. ANYWAYS point is, i'm going back to this book and i want to give it a real shot this time... has anyone seen results by using her plan? did it take a long time? i'd love any advice or tips... thanks!
Re: anyone use "the no-cry sleep solution" book with success?
We have a good sleeper but had an awful napper. No Cry Nap Solution really worked wonders for us!
I also have a LO who does not do well with CIO so if we ever had night problems NCSS would be the route I would try first.
THe one thing I do notice is that when DD is growing (milestones or physically) we really regress alot. The NCNS gives great tips though that get us back on track within a few days.
so what kind of things did you do? was there any one technique that especially helped? our issue now, is not necessarily that she is waking, but it takes forever to get her back down. i'll nurse her, she'll fall asleep, i'll go to put her down in her crib, and she wakes up crying... its so frustrating.
