Melting Pot Fiesta Cheese Fondue!

May's post mentioned Melting Pot in the replies and I wanted to share that DH and I learned how to make the Fiesta Cheese Dip at home.  It's SO GOOD!
It's not the exact recipe that Melting pot has but it tastes the same to me!

4-5 cups of mexican cheese shreds (I get publix brand)
About 1/3 cup beer
About 1/4-1/3 cup salsa
About 1/4-1/2 chopped up Jalepano (depending on how spicy you want it
Mix all together in fondue pot and PRESTO!

I get Cuban bread from the store and cut each slice into 4s.  Mmmmm
Melting pot also uses Apples, and celery and Cauliflower.

Ok, now I know what Im having for dinner!

Re: Melting Pot Fiesta Cheese Fondue!

  • Ok this may sound dumb, but DH and I have never been to the Meltin Pot before... perhaps this would be a good place to try for our 1st anniversary on Oct. 20? Even though I won't be able to drink...

So my question is, what would a typical dinner/meal be like for two?  Would we get the "Big Night Out" option for $77 a couple? And does that include the 1. Cheese Fondue course, then 2. Salad course, then 3. Meat/entree course and then 4. the chocolate fondue dessert course all for $77?  At least that is advertised in the menu for our Novi, MI location. I guess I'm confused as to how it all works, and approximately it would cost us (seeing as I'm not drinking).

  • yep, that's how it works, we have been twice and did that both times.
  • I've never been there either, but have wanted to try it. I had heard it was pretty spendy though so we haven't got. But, maybe I will make my own now ;)
