I have a couple of questions about the Dave Ramsey program. We have talked about doing it a couple of times, and people I work with have had a lot of good things to say about it.
Did you just buy the program and start it independently, or are you going to classes/meetings somewhere?
Is it really overwhelming when you start?
What do you think of it so far?
Re: OSUtiff
My husband and I are taking the class, it is located at a church not too far from our house. We signed up for the class, bought the kit, and were all set to go.
I don't know if it was overwheming when we started, because I expected it to be that way. Does that make sense? It is actually pretty simple, with easy to grasp concepts.
Basically a class is a one hour video of Dave Ramsey talking, which I thought would be lame, but is actually so so insightful (and pretty funny!) and then an hour of small group discussion. The group is my favorite part becuase I realized that we aren't the only people who have trouble making ends meet, saving, huge students loans, and credit card debt. That was a huge relief.
Overall, I love the class. It actually has me excited about money, rather than avoiding it all together. It has allowed my husband and I to start talking about things we may not have talked about otherwise. I would strongly recommend it to anyone.
I'm only on class two (as of last night) so any questions let me know.
