We had some family over this weekend and a few of them asked if we have introduced water, the thought hasn't even crossed my mind. Our pedi never reccomended it so thinking now.
But what is the age they reccomend you start water?
Yes, I read you can offer water in a sippy cup at 6 months. I tried it Monday for the first time (ok, a week early) and she kept biting the cup - so funny

We did not until about 11 months to a year for snack time only. Water for us is given when one would give juice. Milk/formula still at mealtime, but water as a filler. Right now, your infant does not need plain water. It can throw their system off.
I agree with PP, too. LO doesn't need water. They get all of their hydration from milk/formula, but it's ok to offer them some in a cup now for practice. DD still gets all of her regular feedings, water isn't replacing anything.

That was my understanding too.
