oh no -- DH is so sick!!

He has a HORRIBLE cold and I am so petrified Avery and/or I are going to get it. I don't know how I will take care of her if I get sick. I am having a hard enough time trying to take care of her AND him. And now he can't help me because he is so scared of touching her and getting her sick. I am EXHAUSTED. Between this and my grandmother dying this week and our current BF/feeding issues, I feel like it's all waaaaaayyyyyy too much. I just wish he would get better so he can help me.

    I'm really sorry.  Because I had a cold during delivery, we've been overly cautious.  We've gone through a half bottle of hand sanitizer in a week.

    I hope the germs don't spread but its very likely that they will. I got a bad cold and gave it to Andy 2 weeks ago. It sucked! But when you don't feel good and feel you can't do more...and then you see your baby doesn't feel good and needs you...you magically feel ready to do anything for your baby and don't feel your illness. It's crazy. So it'll suck, but you'll all get thru it. But I hope you don't have to deal with it!

    one advantage of you BFing is if you do get sick she will get your antibodies from your milk and it will help prevent her from getting sick too. Tell DH to get lots of rest so he can kick that cold asap!!

    Hang in there.  Things slowly will get better.  It's a lot all at once.  Is there anyone nearby to help?

    I worry too about what will happen if I get sick...

    This happened to us about 2 weeks ago.  We had an overnight stay in the hospital to monito Linc's seizures, and my DH came home with a cold.  By then end of the week Linc and I both had it.  It sucked, but we survived.  Good luck!  I hope that you guys don't pass it around to each other.

    oh geez... tell him to load up on Vitamin C.  If he has a runny nose or is coughing phlegm up - tell him to go to the dr if his mucus has any color to it at all. 

    I hope he gets better soon!
