What do you eat when nothing sounds good?

There were some posts on loss of appetite earlier today and I feel like I am really struggling...for the past few weeks nothing sounds good.  I haven't eaten very much today and that makes me so nervous.  I have been getting  extra calories in with smoothies (home made and jamba juice).  What do you ladies eat when nothing else is sounding good?

  • Low-fat string cheese! It has been a life saver.

  • I second string cheese. I also love cereal.
  • I love fresh fruit like pineapple, cantaloupe, apples when nothing else sounds good.  It is always refreshing plus it is healthy.

  • I'm with you, food is super unappealing to me lately.  I have been eating lots of fresh fruit (I made a giant fruit salad to eat for the next few days, and also snacking on apples/peanut butter and cuties)  I have tons of chopped fresh veggies that I dip in hummus for protein (cucumber, carrots, red/green peppers)  Tonight for dinner I made a 5 bean salad & some grilled tofu & asparagus.  As long as I keep it light & fresh, it seems to be easier to eat.  Cereal and little soy puddings are good snacks too.
  • Cereal always works for me

  • I usually have to go to one extreme, I either eat sweets, or fruits.  Lately though, my problem isn't that I'm not hungry, it's just that nothing tastes good and SO ws trying to be sweet and make me dinner and I told him I just wanted Ramen. He forgot about it and left it on the stove so all the water evaporated, then added water to make the broth since it didn't burn. It's so bland and soggy, but I told him not to make more. I don't think I can eat anything now. :(

  • Story of my life, I swear my DH thinks I'm being difficult, but I told him it's not just me.  Same as what the other ladies said, but I just added Gardenburgers.  Ice cream, strawberries, waffles with just butter, I really wish that I had more suggestions.

  • I am with the majority here...fruit and CEREAL!!!

I usually eat raisin bran or the crunchy raisin bran...but we had a boat load of kids over this weekend for a sleep over, so I bought a huge box of frosted flakes, I have not had frosted flakes in I cannot remember how long.  Needless to say, I think I have eaten almost the entire box...now thats healthy for ya!
