When will you have your toddler come visit in the hospital for the first time?
My parents will be watching DS- I don't know if I want them to wait in the waiting room with him so that he could come in right away, or if it would be better for him to come a few hours later or the next day (depending on the time of birth). What are you doing?
Re: moms w/toddlers- hospital question
i think it would be easier for DS to stay at home, and when I am cleaned up, after attempting to BF for a while and when I am feeling ok, to have my mom bring him in. Theres no point for him to see me upset, or stressed etc.
PLus I want at least an hour to bond with DD, see an LC and BF.
I think he wont come for a few hours. plus it depends on the time of day, if its in the mid of the night, we'll wait til morning.
that stinks!
A friend of mine w/3 suggested not brining LO to the hospital to visit. She said she felt with #2, that having them visit her there was more for her own benefit than her DS's. And so with #3 they didn't come.
..though I am having a c/s and so I dont know if not seeing her for 3 days is the best idea. Haven't decided yet. I figure I'll play it by ear.
Big brother and sister are excited to meet the new baby! It's a GIRL!

a few hours after birth depending on the time of day.
Ideally, I want DD to be the first to meet DS. So, if it's during the day, she'll be there, in the waiting room, when I have DS, and be the first to come in.
I won't be disturbing her schedule though, so if it's late evening or middle of night, it will be next morning.
Birth photographer, thats awesome! I bet those will be great pictures to have. DH totally failed on that the first time.
