I need to design a quilt square for a co-worker who is having a baby and feel kind of lost. They don't know what they're having so the colors are neutral and the square itself is white. My only idea so far has been to cut out a piece of green fabric, into a heart and sew it on-but is that neutral enough? Another idea is to find a cute saying/poem online and print it on transfer paper and iron it on the square. I really like that idea, but can't find anything I like. Any suggestions or sayings that you really like?
TIA!
Re: Quilt Square Suggestion?
I did this same thing for my baby shower and got so many WONDERFUL squares back. I cried!
A few of my faves:
Pics of family transferred onto the squares
Cross stitch of a lil blonde girl in a green outfit holding a shamrock balloon (We're Irish)
Bible versus on various squares that have special meaning
My MIL painted squares for his brothers/sister with their favorite sayings
My list goes on and on.....I hope this gives you some suggestions! If you'd like to see any pics to get ideas, just let me know and I'd be happy to share them with you!
