I bled for almost the full 6 weeks. It sucked! Then it stopped for a week, I started the minipill and either had spotting and cramps from the pill or AF came to visit.
Ugh, sadly I'm still bleeding. I've been bleeding the entire time with maybe a day or so of a break and that's it. I started the mini pill after my 6 week pp visit and my OB said to give it a month well I'll finish up the first pack this Saturday. If it doesn't stop by Thursday I'll have to call my OB to see what my other BC options are.

Sometimes you can stop bleeding for a couple of weeks and then it starts back again, especially if you start being more active. It's totally normal as long as there's no large clots or anything.
I bled for 4 weeks, I believe. But I had a c-section and 2 nights I woke up in a huge puddle of blood. Thought I had busted a stitch. We went to the ER and it turned out that it was just the blood from all of my bruising draining out of my incision. YUCK!!!! My PP period has been ferocious though. I've been on the mini pill for about 2 1/2 months now but have only had like a 1 week break from my period. It seriously sucks!
This is such a relief to find this thread! I had my baby boy two weeks ago and the bleeding had stopped but started again yesterday, and having read all the 'official' information I was starting to get freaked out that it wasn't normal (the medical websites claim it should be done by two weeks). Thanks ladies for setting my mind at rest!
With both of my births and all of my miscarriages and d&c's my bleeding lasted 1-3 days afterwards and my next period was always 29 days later. which follows my typical periods of 1-3 days long and 29 days apart. I always thought it was typical but I guess it is my type of typical. My doctors never said anything different.
With my first child, I bled for a full 8 weeks. With my second, I only bled for 9 days. I was thrilled. I had stocked up on pads and didn't even need them!! lol. Now I'm expecting number 3. I hope my bleeding is quick, like with the second!!

I only bled for about a week. But by my 6 week appointment the dr was concerned that I hadn't had my first period PP. Something about the check-up must have worked, cause the next day I started! That one was 1 1/2 weeks, and then I started BC and bled for 4 months straight. Darn you Seasonique!
