Grrrrr!!!
(from a fellow 28 year old, who will be 29 at the end of May)
Love & luck to my 3TC girls. Congrats to Omega-The boys are here!
If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.
After 2 years & 2 losses, our little man arrived 8-2011.
That's ridiculous!
This.
Not quite as bad, but reminds me of my cousin talking to family members (with me in the room, but nobody knew we are trying) and saying "we want two or three and I want to be done by the time I'm 30" because clearly 30 is old. She's 25; I'm 32.
Yea tell me about it!
:::My bad wrong poster?
Everyone in DH's family (mom & siblings) had their first child before they were 20. We were 27 and 30 when Clara was born, married 4 years before we started TTC. MIL cried when we told her we were pregnant and said she'd given up on us because I was "getting too old to get pregnant"! Say what??
Seriously, I would smack that family member of yours!
I'm 29. I guess I should shut down ye 'olde uterus now...
How is 28 old? DH and I only started trying when I was 28, and before that, there's no way I was old enough to have a baby (financially, or mentally).
28 might have been considered old in the 70s or something when people were getting married and having children when they were 19, but by today's standards, a 28 year old is just a baby.
My parents were oddballs in the 70's.. my mom didn't have my older brother until she was 27, and back then that was considered pretty old.

why do people feel like they comment on this so casually and nonchalantly?! seriously. it's none of their business! You know, family member aint getting any younger....she should really consider getting all her teeth pulled and replaced with dentures now. or, you know, she should really consider shaving her head since she's going to lose it all with age anyway.
ARG! Really?! Why thank you, smart and mighty one. I so greatly appreciate you sharing this knowledge. now fvck off.

I know, right? I'm 32. I didn't start trying until I was 31. I got married at 30, so I definitely wouldn't have been ready to try before that!

I hear you, sister. I'm 34. I didn't get married until this year, so there's no way I would have tried to get pregnant until now...sigh. Well good luck to all y'all with your "advanced maternal age" - I'm right there with you!
I'm a spinster I guess then...lol "have some whiskey honey..."
I hate it when people talk out of their rear. As I say, a throatpunch would do nicely for that windbag. *shufflels off with her walker*
I got married when I was 26, about to turn 27. My grandpa (who has six kids) told me and my husband at the reception that we "better hurry up" because I was "running out of time". Gee, thanks Grandpa!
ETA: I'm about to turn 28. Wonder if he's going to mourn the death of my uterus at the birthday party
