I'm still scared to do it in public The most public I've gotten was in my car in a parking garage...then I got nervous and put my boobs away and gave Max a bottle. I'm sure it will get easier but I am just so weirded out about me doing it in public!
I'm jealous of those of you that have no qualms with doing it!

I was freaky too until I had to do it in a dining area at the San Diego Zoo. No one looks. I thought they'd all stare, but NO ONE looked.
Mexican restaurant out with SIL and ours kids. DD would not shush so I had to hurry up and eat so I could stop what I was doing and feed her. I could have cared less who was offended. No way was I going to let her scream to please someone else who might whisper "Ugh, she's breast feeding her baby here!" Go for it chick! Say something.
I was covered and situated before feeding baby girl. Once she started feeding, quiet as a mouse and a very content little girl she was. My SIL was like "Wow, I didn't know you could get ready to feed her that fast. You make it look easy. You're gonna have to show me how you did that when my baby comes." I was pretty proud of myself.
- In the food court at Costco (that one was a little awkward because there were a bunch of little kids around and they all wanted to see the baby, lol)
- At a restaurant table with my in-laws
- On many benches at the zoo
I don't use a cover, but will try to cover LO slightly with a blanket. As it gets warmer, though, I throw caution to the wind. We've gotten pretty good at it, and no one can see anything.
I have breast fed just about everywhere. At church (in the pew), at Applebees, waiting room at the Dr's office, bench in the mall...this is my 3rd, I'm kind of fearless now. I was real shy with my first and would always head back to my car when I needed to feed him. With my second I was a little more courageous. This time I just simply don't care anymore. LOL!!
Airport, Walking around Target (using the moby), every restaurant we've been to pretty much, Bench at the mall and zoo, Starbucks
At first I was really freaked out by it. But I realized that if I actually intended on doing anything while breastfeeding (which I'd like to do til at least 1 year), then I'd have to get over it.
It's gotten much easier, we went out with DH's family for dinner last weekend and I fed her at the restaurant. While she was eating, FIL was like, "Where'd the baby go? Who has her?" He was completely clueless that I was feeding her. It's not saying much, but it made me feel good
Resaurants, the mall, parks, in my driveway, in my car at a gas station, church, pretty much anywhere and everywhere! I have a Hooter Hider and this is my second. I've never had anyone say anything negative to me, not even a dirty look as far as I can remember!
Mommy to Evelyn Clare born 6/23/07, Ryan Hansen born 12/10/09, and Charlotte Nicole born 11/1/12
A really nice restaurant sitting across from my IL's. She wasn't on a bottle at that time and I didn't feel like going out to the car...my food had just arrived and DD was also hungry.
We were at a festival this weekend and I whipped out the boob. I have no problems in public places except restaurants. I think DH is more to blame for that, but next time we are at one....

Starbucks, American Eagle, walking around Target, walking around Lowes (she was in the Ergo), pretty much anywhere we are and she's hungry. I started out using the nursing cover a couple times but it drives me crazy so we go coverless and I could care less what people think! =D
My first time was Sunday at French Quarter Festival with thousands of people all around. I was by a busy food area and people were passing me the entire time. I was surprisingly relaxed doing it and it went really well.
At the mall, in church, at the zoo, on a walk, Target, multiple restaurants, and basically anywhere we go if she's hungry. I use a cover mostly, except when I nurse her in the Ergo...it works so well, I like nursing this way the best when we're out!

Uhh... where isn't the most public place should be the question...
At the park, the store, the mall, restaurants, a bridal show, dr's offices, wherever. And I don't use a nursing cover- my shirt covers most everything and the only time you see anything is when DD is latching on. I've never had anyone say a thing to me about NIP, either, and if they did, I'd tell them to STFU and go away. lol

- sitting at a sidewalk cafe
- Chik Fil A
Those are both pretty public.
some of them:
- On a bench in the middle of the mall
- In the food court at Costco (that one was a little awkward because there were a bunch of little kids around and they all wanted to see the baby, lol)
- At a restaurant table with my in-laws
- On many benches at the zoo

In my car in the parking lot of my orthodontist's office.
