We finally got our zoo pass

and took dd to the zoo last Friday... so I'm not a slacker mom anymore! It was easy and fun... there is a big toddler area for them to run around. And while it's certainly not the best zoo in the country, it's just fine... except the animal lover in me hates to see big, majestic animals in captivity. :(

 Anyway, we could do a gtg if anyone's interested... maybe a Monday morning when it opens to avoid the crowds?

    We got our passes too. It makes it totally okay to go spend an hour to two hours there and then go home. Last time I went we met up with an old high school friend that was there, walked around for an hour and then let them play in the toddler area and eat a picnic.

    I'd be up for it anytime, especially in the am when it's still not super hot. Bringing lunch is always fun too!

    Ask me again in August and I can do a Monday morning. ;)  I think the pass lets you get in an hour early on weekends too!

    like i was typing.... you can buy the passes online!  The family pass is $65, and the individual one is $45 (2 and under are free)

    The zoo is so our family place to go. We love it. We may just have to get passes for the year. However, it is possible Kat may be working there this summer as a summer intern so we would have free passes for the whole summer! I would be there every day I could! :)
