mothers day question? would this bother you

would it bother you if your mother in law told you she was coming to visit on mothers day?

    No. Were you planning on not seeing her that day? We usually see my mom and MIL on mother's day. And this year I'll get flowers at brunch too!

    yeah.. id be a little aggravated.. i really dont wanna spend it with my MIL.. rude or not.. I dont care! She needs to be invited not invite herself!!!!

    If you don't normally see them then yes... Since it's your first mothers day you may have had plans and for her to assume you don't is rude

    YES, especially if this is your first baby and first Mother's Day ever!  Now you have your own family and she needs to respect that.

    No, but it will bother me if my MIL makes a big deal out of Mother's Day for herself.  I doubt she will, but she is all about these little holidays.

    Yes, it would bother me that she would invite herself.  Mother's day hasn't come up yet, but I'm sure she will invite us over.  oh joy.  Maybe DH and I can make plans to have a "first mothers/fathers day" thing just us.

    No. I would like in ILs to visit us. We always have to go to them. It's a bit annoying.

    Yes, and not much bothers me.

     

    It would, however, be hypocritical to see your mom and then be upset your MIL is coming though.
