TTC after 35

Love that Bump Power! (Good test results today)

I had my NT scan today to check for Down Syndrome.  The NT scan measures your relative risk.  So, the risk for a normal 38 year old is 1 in 132 (as in one out of 132 babies will be born with Down), but my risk came back 1 in 1,399 - essentially the same risk as a 20 year old!!  The test results are really good and I feel really happy, but thanks to the years of IF, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.  For now, I'm just focusing on being happy.  We're telling our parents tonight.  Maybe that will make it seem more real?

I agree 100% now the worry will be with you always (God willing!)  Congrats on great results.  It was like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders when I got my results too!!!

  • OUTSTANDING NEWS!!!!
  • Yay for good news!  I think the IF that you have been dealing with is your other shoe having already dropped. You've dealt with enough and deserve to have H&H 9 and a healthy, perfect baby. Big Smile
I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

  • That is wonderful news!  I know how you feel about waiting for that shoe to drop. :)  I was so nervous throughout my pg and refused to say out loud that I'd look back on my perfect pg and think, 'What was I worried about?'.  Here's to your final statement being, "What was I worried about?" Beer
  • That's great!
