since he was a foster child and TPR had happened way before he was in our home, i wanted to wait until he was officially adopted. its now been a month and i was thinking it was a good time to do it.
I've been wondering this too. We've had DD for 4 weeks now as a foster-adoptive placement and her parents rights have been terminated since before then. I've been kinda tempted to send something ahead of the official adoption. Like, "Look who's here!", but I'm not sure if that's weird. I'm also not sure what to write on it...
-do you do birth weight and height and then current weight and height?
-if not those types of things, what do you put?
Thanks!

Mummy - I was thinking of doing a little tongue/cheek with his weight and height the day of adoption. but we're funny like that and our friends and family would definitely laugh outloud at that.
We sent out our announcements after the birthmother's relinquishment was acknowledged by the State (meaning it's irrevocable). Our wording said something like "We are pleased to announce the newest addition to our family...(name)... Born in our hearts through adoption on ... (date, weight, height)"
We sent out annoucements within a couple weeks after DD came home. We did not finalize for another 6 months after. DD came on 9/23/2009 and with all the holidays coming I did not want people to be surprises when we arrived with a toddler. We included her birthday, the date she came home and were she was from with a picture.
Re: Adoption Announcement
We did the same.
