We finally broke down last night and put DD in her crib. She had been in her swing, STTN since about 6 weeks or so. It took about 40 minutes for her to fall asleep. DH sat next to her crib, putting his hand on her tummy and replacing her pacifier. Once she finally fell asleep, she didn't make a peep for 10 hours! Expecting much worse, I woke up this morning and was nervous something had happened. But she was exactly where we had left her, hadn't moved an inch. Amazing for a girl that was annoyed the other day because the wall got in her way when rolling! Hopefully she will continue to sleep a little longer as she gets more used to her crib (was sleeping 11-12 hrs in swing). Now I don't have to explain to the dr at her 6 month appt why she isn't in her crib. I'm so proud of her transition! I hope it's not a fluke.
Re: AW: First night in crib = 10hrs!
That's amazing! DS will go that long w/o eating at night, but I have to replace the pacifier about 6-8 times. It will be great when he can actually sleep peacefully the whole time!

Ugh, I hate you ;-)
I'm pretty sure someone told DS that if he slept in his crib, the boogeyman would come and eat him. That's the only way to explain the crying that follows us attempting to put him in there. My goal is to have him in there by his 6 month appt. too.
I'm glad it worked out for you!
It's great. Allie just went into her crib last week and was waking up anywhere from 2:00am-4am. Ugh.
Last night she slept from 9:00 until 7:30. I'm very happy (and rested) today! Let's hope our daughters do this again tonight :0)
