  I think of a talon as a fingernail/bird claw, and I just can't get past that to think of it as a name.

  One of my favourite series' of books has a boy character named Talen- how about this spelling? Talon is not my cup of tea.

  I don't particularly care for this name either, but I knew someone that named their daughter Fallon - which I thought was cute.  Her name was Fallon Rebecca.

  If any of you are old Laguna Beach fans, you would know that Talan  was one of the male characters on that show.   Apparently its a very popular name on the West Coast. I know of at least 2 Talan's IRL...   But I think it looks better spelled that way, than like TALON with an "o" because of the whole claw/fingernail thing.   lol.
