Going from Napping in Swing to Crib

Any suggestions for making the transition from napping in the swing to napping in her crib?? DD is sleeping thought the night fine in her crib (10-5:30/6) but she just isn't having it during the day...

  • Never mind....I have had SUCCESS!  I went up and wrapped a (crocheted) blanket around her legs (trying to break the swaddle habit too) and after a few minutes of fussing she is out :) Yay!

Yep, this is exactly what I've been doing with DD. She was a sound swing napper. But she was taking one 3 hour nap a day. I started reading The Baby Whisperer and decided I needed to get her on an EASY routine. We're on week 2 of napping in the crib. She's been taking 3 1 hour naps a day and stays up for about 1 1/2 hours in between. I've noticed a really big difference! It's great.

Anyway, got a little off topic there, but yeah. I wrap her bottom half in a blanket, turn on her baby crack machine and she fusses for about a minute and then goes to sleep.
