I holding my DS's 5th birthday @ a children's museum for about 20 kids. I thinking of doing the worms and dirt desert for the kids:

and maybe one box cake decorated with plastic bugs and gummy worms. My kids don't like cake! So strange. I figure I can serve it in a large sand bucket (washed and sanitized ofcourse). Good idea? I've never made this before. Anyone have any ideas on how many kids this might feed? Seems like a lot of pudding and I know it would be super rich.
Re: Need advice on this party idea.
Good idea, any ideas for a serving container that isn't going to break the bank? I suppose I could do ind. sand buckets, but I don't know how I would keep the cold.
Do your kids like brownies? You could modify the dirt cupcake and make it on brownies or even large(ish) firm sugar cookies. A little chocolate frosting, crushed cookies, worms and you won't have to worry about keeping them cold.
I make dirt cups quite often, and I alway use these small clear cups from Solo. I just get them at the grocery store. I like them because you can see all the layers, and they are the perfect serving size for one kid.
