102.7 fever from teething?

does this seem high to be from teething? DD is drooling alot too, but I thought she would get a 'low grade' fever if it was due to teething??

  • Yes, that is too high to be just teeth.  Could be a virus, if she seems to be acting normal otherwise.

  • DS has a history of high fevers when teething.  Watch for a possible ear infection though.  Drs. say the two aren't related by my experience indicates otherwise.  Keep up with the Motrin and Tylenol and keep a cool washcloth on her head if you can.  Cool teething rings are good too.

  • My DD was like that a couple weeks ago, she was teething but also had a virus.  Hope she feels better soon!
  • My Dr. always says that a fever will not go higher than 100 if it is teething.  Anything higher something else is going on!

  • Ditto everyone else - call your Dr that's a bit high for teething.
