New to the area...

Hi everyone! My name is Anna (I'm 33) My husband and I have just moved to OR (Tigard) from CA (don't hate us) with our son Asher (9 mos). We just moved in last week and are busy trying to re-establish ourselves here. I haven't lived in OR since I was a little girl and no longer know anyone and was hoping I might be able to establish some relationships with you ladies here and your little ones around Asher's age. I've seen some talk about playgroups and mommy meets but would never just show up...wouldn't that be strange. We're currently in Tigard living with my parents (ack, never thought I'd do that again at 32) while we wait for our old home to sell and we look for our new home. We'll be ending up anywhere from Tigard to Oregon City, and any place near or in between we just don't know yet. Anyone willing to introduce yourself and welcome us in?

While I'm at it...we need a great pediatrician? We have a PPO, so I can really go anywhere but the list of doctors are just names on a page. Does anyone have a pediatrician (or a lady OB) that they just love? I prefer female docs, but a super male pediatrician is just fine.

Hello and welcome!! Our pediatrician is amazing and a lot of the girls on this board are using her now. Her name is Kirsten Crowley and she's at SW Peds right next to St Vincents Hosp. 503-216-6550

Hello!!

A friendly piece of advice, take your last name out of your ticker. There are crazy women on the bump (not necessarily on this board, but we do have "awesome" lurkers...) and I wouldn't want my last name out there like that. You never know how crazy some people are.
