Anyone feel PAIN when baby moves?

Hi, I'm normally on SAIF but there are more of you on here in the same stage as I, so...   Lately when baby moves in just the right way I get a stabbing pain in the area of my right ovary.  I mean, it takes my breath away.  I wonder if I have a cyst or something - have had pain in that area off & on throughout the pregnancy.  But with the added pressure - OUCH.  Talked to my midwife and she said it sounded in the realm of normalcy but if it gets worse or more frequent, let them know.  I don't hear a lot about baby movement causing actual pain, more discomfort.  Anyone else experience this?

Re: Anyone feel PAIN when baby moves?

  • Yes.  Not really sharp pains like what you're talking about, but I swear my kid rolls around with her elbows sticking out.  I get a lot of movements that are painful.   :(

  • Just wait until you're 39-40 weeks and baby moves.
  • All the time!  I love it when this kid takes a nap and doesn't move for a little bit.  I like the movement but I think he is going to come out 3 feet tall with fat knees!
  • my stomach muscles are stretching and as the baby moves in that area of tenderness it hurts like what you are describing.

  • I have actually had the same thing all through out the pg, in the same area. And yes some of the kicks aggrevate it.  So I don't know if it is normal or not...
