I always thought (prebaby) if my kid wasn't the cutest I would know and admit it to myself but I have always thought DD was perfection and the prettiest little thing ever. Now, when I look back at her pics from around the 1month time..she looked like a little old man lol She lost all the hair in the front and not in the back and it was not a good look for her.

did you ever think your baby was not the cutest at the time? or have you ever looked back and been surprised?

I've always wondered if DS is actually cute or if I'm just totally biased. I mean, sometimes I'll take a picture and he's making a weird face and I think it's not cute, but for the most part I think he's perfection.

He wasn't scrunched up or alien looking when he was a newborn though like some babies are!

Is my baby ugly? No.

Is any baby ugly? No. All NBs have the "old-man balding squishy" look going on but that's what makes them so cute. The word Ugly is ugly though.

Yep I did.

I posted Sam's bowling ball pic last week and DH used to tell me he looked like a seal pup.

When Jake came home he was very fragile with big eyes, he looked like a tiny old man instead of a baby.

By about 9 or 10 weeks they started turning into my little superheroez.

ETA: I thought they weren't the cutest, but not that they were ugly.

I have always thought that J was cute. But the old man thing definitely applied back at 1 month old. He had a bad case of baby acne too. Poor guy.

1. Your baby is adorable so i wouldn't worry.
2. DD is mostly the cutest baby in the world. But she got her daddy's nose (the one thing I asked god to give her of mine!!) LOL The nose itself isn't so bad but sometimes her nose turns kinda orange which freaks me out.

See the orange??? It makes her nose stick out!! LOL

I'll look back on some of his pictures and think, hmm not the best look but regardless I think he's perfect no matter what. Even through the bald patches and the constant drool.

I have never thought DS was ugly, but I look back on photos of him at 3-4 months (where his hair had really fallen out) and he wasn't as cute as I remember him being lol

Yeah I look back now and DD had a HUGE head with this old man receeding hairline..LOL. But she is still beautiful.

oh lord..its a joke..

and DD didnt have the old man balding squishy look when she was brand new..it came a month or two later...and i HAVE seen some unattractive babies so yes, some babies are unattractive

DS has always been beautiful...DD1 anither story! She was 9 lbs hairy like a monkey and VERY jaundiced! She looked quite a bit like a naked umpa loompa. But now she is GORGEUS!!

I think she is beautiful and not very photogenic. It's very hard to get a good picture of her. I do think a lot of people don't think she is though because she looks so much like her father. I'm not married to a Brad Pitt and I love him for so many other reasons other than looks (but I don't think he is ugly either). So many people say how much she looks like her dad that it sometimes makes me feel that they don't think she is very attractive because the tone they use and she's girl that looks like a man.

Nope, until my daughter hit about 3-4 months, I didn't think she was cute. I always thought people were blowing smoke up my a$$ saying she was cute all the time. When she fattened up a little, started smiling more, etc, she became a LOT more cute. Now I think (in my biased opinion) she's one of the cutest babies I've seen.

He had a nasty mullet for the first few months. It was not ugly so much as it was hilarious.

His face has definitely gotten cuter as he's gotten older and his features have popped out.

I've always thought he was pretty cute, but there was a time when his ears were ginormous.

He's grown into them a bit now, but I have definitely looked back at those months and giggled.

I was so afraid that I would think that my baby was ugly when I was pregnant. Since she was born, I've always thought that she was beautiful though. I look back on her newborn pics die laughing because she looked like a fly with big bug eyes. I think that all babies go through "Ugly" phases.

I was just looking back at some pics of the girls when they were born and they were definitely not the cutest girls on the block. They were born early so they didnt even fill out their skin. It just hung on them. But the formula took care of that pretty quickly. Probably not until 2 mths did they really start looking like cute girls. But I still have some pics where they are not flattering.

His more prominent features (eyes mainly) look a bit too prominent in some of his pics around 3-4 months. I never noticed until recently. I wonder if people were telling me he was cute but thinking "that kid has bug eyes!" Ah well, he's adorable to me anyway.

Actually there are some pictures from about 3 weeks that make her look like a deformed old man, but I still maintain that it was the angle at which I took the picture.

I've always thought he was gorgeous, but looking back on pics he wasn't all that good-looking right away. He had a major conehead and was really puffy for the first day or so.
