Babies: 3 - 6 Months

s/o Pediatrician Recommendations

Why do they each say something different?  Shouldn't there be some consistency/uniformity in their advice?  I truly rely on my Pedi to give me the most up-to-date information and it's just kind of weird to hear conflicting advise or differing opinions from other pedis on here. That's all.

  • I know I am a couple days early to this board but I don't get it either. My pedi gave us a book of information to go off of. Here's the kicker...the information he gives us in his office conflicts with the book he said to go off of. I don't get it!!!

  • They should all give fairly consistent medical advice...but parenting advice (sleeping, eating, behavioral advice) to me will vary b/c that is really their personal opinion...and why I don't really rely on them for that.

Our pedi told us to hold off solids until 6 months, but then gave me a brochure about it saying to start at 4 months.
