OBGYN rec in Dallas?

Hi Ladies,

My best friend just found out she is pregnant, and though she and her husband are ecstatic, it is completely unexpected.  She hasn't been to an OBGYN in a couple of years and is needing a recommendation for a doctor.  She believes she's about six weeks along.  Oh, and she lives near SMU/Highland Park.  I've heard good things about https://www.northlakeobgyn.com/  , but do you have any other places to recommend?

    Dr. Jane Nokleberg with Walnut Hill OBGYN delivered my daughter.  They are a very popular practice with the Park Cities crowd... most of the babies in my daughter's MDO class were delivered by that practice!  Overall, we were happy with her and the practice.  However, I will probably be switching to a doctor at Baylor (near downtown) for the next one.

     If she is in any way interested in a natural/low intervention childbirth, I'd recommend going to a doctor that delivers at Baylor over Presbyterian or Medical City.

    I love, love, love mine!  Dr. Amy Martin.  She's on Washington Ave. near Baylor University Medical Center.  I've been going to her for years & she delivered DS#1 & will be delivering DS#2 on 5/5/10.  :)

    I would recommend Women's Health Alliance. They are inside the Medical Towers at Baylor. My Dr is Norwood, he's amazing. I also really like Dr Brodsky and Dr Romberg. If your friend would be more comfortable with a female doctor, Dr Romberg delivered my baby and I was really happy with her. I'm an Operating Room nurse, and work with these doctors in surgery as well, and they are all good.

    I have used Dr. Kristi Ryder at Northlake OBGYN for the last 5 years and absolutely think she is fantastic!

    She might want to decide where she wants to deliver before picking a dr.  Mine is Dr. Anne Woodbridge at Presby Dallas - love her.

    Love, love, love Dr. Patricia Harris. She's in the same group as Amy Martin that Jenn4 mentioned. Dr. Harris is young, funny, has a fabulous nurse, and has 2 little ones of her own so she's in the trenches with you, ya know?

    Dr. Amy Sigman at Medical City. I've gone to her for about 7 years and she delivered both of my babies. I seriously cannot say enough good thing about her. All of the doctors in the practice are exceptionally good and I would recommend any of them.

    Dr. Wesley Anne Brady located directly across from northpark.  Phone 214-442-0055.  She's locaed at 9101 North Centra Expressway Suite 550. It's a less than 5 minute drive from the Highland Park SMU area.  I love that it's never crowded and you get the personal attention that you need.

    1311 N Washington Ave Dallas, TX 75204  Everyone in her practice is GREAT... she is downtown and just right down the street from Baylor Dallas which made delivery really easy because if they needed her she never took more than 5 minutes to get there!

    This.  Dr Brodsky is my doc but Dr Norwood delivered my DD.  Great practice.

    My OB is Dr. Frank Oliver at Medical City Dallas.  He has over 27 years of experience and is now is single practice so he WILL be the one to deliver her baby unlike an OB in multiple practice and you just get who ever is on call the day she goes into labor.  He is wonderful!  I ended up with a high risk pregnancy and truly believe his experience saved my LO. I was diagnosed with shorting cervix at 24 weeks.  Most women in similar situation don't realize they have this until a few pregnancy losses.  He is also very friendly and makes his patients feel comfortable.  He also doesn't rush you through your appointments.  He will take as long as he needs to but somehow never seems to run late which is great!

    I was seeing Dr. Nokleberg as well and really like her. She sent me to Dr. Goldstein at Presby. Dallas for fertility treatment, however given the drive, I am planning on delivering at PHOP which means I had to switch.

     I wish I could have stayed with my RE. He is great and use to do OB but not anymore.
