Anyone have "LO" appear on their BBT?

For the past 10 days or so, when I turn on my BBT the letters LO appear after the 88.88 disappear.  My temps have been all over the place, with some days the thermometer taking 10 seconds to take my temp, other days 2+ minutes. I'm thinking it needs a new battery, but according to the instructions a battery icon blinks when it's low - no mention of the letters LO.

Has this happened to anyone else?  It's the purple CVS BBT.  Thanks!

    Mine does.  I am pretty sure it means it is ready to be inserted for temp taking.  I have the same BBT.

    It means "low".  It's just because it hasn't read a temp yet.

    I had that happen a couple times when I fell back asleep before it finished registering the temp, and my mouth was hanging open. LOL  Was your mouth completely closed?  If so, then sounds like the battery might be going anyway or it's otherwise messed up.

    I want a BBT like this one if that's the case! Ha! I had to read the OP twice, sometimes there are too many acronyms to keep track of.

    I have the pink BBT from Walmart and all the time when I turn mine on it says the 188.88 then shows the past temps then blinks "LO"  before I put it in my mouth. It just means the temp is too low to read (it tries to take a temp right away). As long as it goes away when you take your actual temp it is fine.
    Me 27, DH 30. Married Since April 2008. Not avoiding since 2009, TTC since 2010, started w/RE June 2011, Me: PCOS,insulin resistance, irregular cycles. Started Metformin June 2011. All tests clear me. DH clear with excellent tests results. BFN on all 5 Clomid cycles. BFP on IUI cycle #10, medicated #8,3rd inject w/Follistim and Ovidrel trigger July 2012! 7 days past IUI Prog and Est check 26 prog, 264 Estrogen.     Yes, everday i get the LO blinking before I put it in my mouth. (on the CVS purple brand)

    And yes, it usually is 2+ minutes before it beeps. A few times I've taken it out thinking something was wrong, or maybe it doesn't beep.... but then when I put it back in it would beep.  So I guess it just takes a long time to get my temp.

    Is it the CVS temp? If so its the default thing it does. ..it just means that it is ready to take a temp. I thought it meant Low battery @ 1st...but the manual said that LO means its ready to temp

    I have the same one and it says that a lot.  I thought the battery might be low, but it has been saying that just about since the first time I used it, so I really don't know.

    ETA - maybe I should have read the PPs and I would have seen that your question has been answered!

      This. Although I have the Vicks normal therm, it does the same thing when it's ready for temp taking...

    Mine does this too as does the one I have for DS. Must be a digital therm. thing I guess.
