We are thinking of getting a second stroller for travel--our travel system stroller is so big and heavy! I am looking for something really light and compact, but it should also be able to take a beating (it would be great to have something I could take on the subway). Cost is also a factor. Right now I am looking at the Combi Flare. Anyone have experience with it? Any other umbrellas that you love?
Re: Recommend your umbrella stroller
I had a Chicco to try out, and I hated it. Kicked the wheels constantly, and my DH couldn't even push it because his feet were getting tangled in the wheels. I also could not get the straps tight enough around my DD, so she could get out (and this was when she was under a year).
We have a Quinny Zapp and love it. It's great for using on buses and trains and airplanes. It folds up super small (I've fit it underneath a bus seat and a train seat before), is pretty light (I think 13 pounds), comes with a carrying case and rain cover, and DD is comfortable in it. DH and I don't kick the wheels at all. The basket is on the smaller side, but that doesn't really matter to me.
Same here. The Chicco was my second choice.
