Dr is going to be mad.. Suggestions?

I was a little overweight prepregnancy.. I am only 5'1 and weighed 140lbs. In the first 16wks I lost 15lbs due to awful all day sickness. At my last appointment my Dr said that he was glad that I finally was up over my prepregnancy weight at 143. Well... Two weeks ago I was told I had gallstones and I needed to really watch my diet and change to a low fat one... Since then I have lost 4lbs and now am down to 139.... I have an appointment this wed and I don't want my Dr to get on to me... Any suggestions to what I can eat to put some weight on without risking another gall bladder attack! TIA!

  • Load up your pockets with spare change before you get weighed???

Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless

  • Loading the player...
  • Seriously, your OB needs to know the whole story. If you've dropped weight, so be it. It is what it is. Better the dr. say something and try to come up with a healthy solution than to avoid the situation altogether.

LOL - that's great!  I'm usually emptying my pockets and taking off my shoes.  Smile

  • No suggestions, but I know some ladies who actually lost weight throughout their pg....

  • I don't think your Doctor will be mad.  I'm sure he/she knows that you have gallbladder problems and needed to switch your diet to a low / no fat diet.

  • I think as long as baby is growing then it doesn't matter if you are gaining. That is what the Dr should be concerned with. Just tell him about your gallbladder problems and go from there!
  • As long as there's no risk to the baby and you're eating healthy to give baby nutrients they need then your doc shouldn't be concerned. Just mention your gallbladder problems.
