nursery bedding question - poll

So we did settle on this fabric for the crib skirts & curtains in the girls' room.

Would you do teething rails in the same color, but do one in stripes and one in dots, like this?

Or would you do both in stripes or dots, but in different colors, like this?

Could the teething rail covers be each be made with two different or even four different fabrics?  I am trying to picture what they looked like.

    They look like this

They could each be made out of a different fabric (they are four seperate pieces).

I would do two different fabrics on each bed, but have the beds match fabrics BUT make them alternating (one has the one color at the head/foot, the other has the same color at the sides).  I think the curtains are really going to tie everything together!

  • Here's one more option - just do the curtains in the daisy fabric and the changing pad (it's going to sit on a white dresser between the two white cribs.)

Then do one crib skirt in gray stripes with rails in gray dots and one crib skirt in yellow stripes and rails in yellow dots.

I really really like this idea!

  • That is going to be so cute--I love yellow!

I don't have teething rails, but I do have a fabric/dots/stripes combination in DD's bedding.  The ladies who sewed them used the fabric and the dots in an alternating pattern around the bumper.  The crib skirt has the stripes with the dots just on the bottom 2-3 inches.  They made a blanket that tied in the fabric/dots/stripes all together.  Even though you aren't having a blanket, the curtains and changing pad will tie it all together very nicely.  If you want to see pics--shoot me an e-mail.

Are you doing all the sewing--you are so crafty!!!
