Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Nutramigen Users

I'm just starting C on it and was wondering if you have found a discounts or Coupons on the formula? Any help would be great!

Re: Nutramigen Users

  • If you have not done this already, sign up on the enfamil website and they will start sending you coupons for formula.

  • Like PPs--sign up at Enfamil.com and they'll send you checks you can use towards the formula purchase.

Also FWIW, Target and Babies R Us have the cheapest prices I've found (ounce for ounce, they are the same price at $1.69 per dry ounce).  Target has 12.6 oz cans for $21, and BRU has 19.8 oz cans for $33.50.

BRU has the largest size can (19.8 oz)--it's like a coffee can size!  BRU just recently offered a $10 gift card for a $50 purchase if you are signed up for their Rewards program.

Also, Target will sometimes give coupons (buy two 12.6 oz cans and receive $10 off).

Also, try calling your pedi and asking if they have any samples.  We have gotten a case of six 8 oz cans this way for FREE.

    HTH!

  • I *HATE* that we are on this formula because of the cost, but I  L:OVE that it is helping her skin issues. So pricey!!!

I signed up under every email address I have and made my family do the same on Gerber, Similac, and Enfamil's websites. I trade the coupons for the Enfamil coupons.

At Target I was able to use multiple coupons on a couple cans the other day so I paid $15 for two cans. (I didn't have more coupons) But other places I've only been able to use 1 coupon at a time.

I keep an eye on Swap Spot board for trading things.

I went all nerdy and made a spreadsheet to calculate the best price on it based on the size of the can, size of case, etc....without using coupons, with using coupons, etc. The only way to get a deal is with using the checks.

I'm going to talk to my Pedi and see what they can do with samples and possibly making this a prescription thing to possibly save more.

  • One more thing...not sure how this works exactly, but I've heard of other bumpies who were able to call their insurance carrier, and they will cover some of the cost (if your LO was put on Nutramigen by a doctor).

I'm going to check in on this tomorrow, but I'll let everyone know what I find out.  ::fingers crossed::

Ive been fighting BCBS HMO forEVER on this one cuz DS is on Alimentum (Similac's version of nutramigen) since he's allergic to my breastmilk.  They said no way, Jose, and we're paying for it.  Ive heard other insurances are more understanding tho.
