Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Does anyone else have problems with Born Free bottles leaking?

I do!  It's not all the time, but often enough that it's sooo irritating.  We're going to transition her to a sippy at 12 months, so I'm not going to bother with buying different bottles, but I was just wondering if anyone can offer any tips?

From my google searches, I have found people say if they leak, they're not assembled properly.  Everything looks right to me as per the instructions.  I cannot for the life of me, figure out what I'm doing wrong... and only sometimes at that!

  • YES and it drives us crazy!  You're right, it's not all the time, but when it does happen, it seems like it's when DD is the must hungry/impatient.  So annoying!

  • Are you tightening them too tight? Is there a crack in the vent thingy? The only problem I've had is that a fewtimes the nipple collapses when DD is eating. I dont know what thats about.

I've had this problem too, but I have never had a bottle leak.

  • The only time it leaked was when the lid was not on properly. Other than that time they never do.

  • I have only had them leak if I screw the top on too tight ...
  • I've inspected for cracks, nope.  Thought I was putting them on too tight, so I tried doing it a bit looser, no luck :(

     Thanks for the suggestions though!

  • Nope. Never. They're the only bottles that DON'T leak...for us.
