During her naps for the last two days, my 2 year old with apparent bionic strength has lifted her mattress off her toddler bed and leaned it up against the wall so she can walk in and out of the slats in the bedframe. Naturally, this brings naptime to a drastic end.
Think it's a sign that we should move on to a twin/full bed? If she can lift that up, we may need to consider selling her to the circus.
Re: Time to retire the todder bed?
Do you have something you could use to secure the mattress to the frame? Like one of those winch-type things that you use to secure luggage or things in the back of vehicles. (Is this making any sense? They're hard to describe, but it's flat like a belt, so it's not like there'd be a piece of rope under her sheets.
Holy cow. I'd say you could get more time out of the toddler bed by rigging the mattress to it, but I don't know what it would be worth the trouble.
brightning, do you mean the flat webbing with a ratchet? If she messed around with the metal ratchet she could really get her fingers hurt- I've clipped mine own a few times tightening and trying to loosen them.
