So everyone is asking about what to pack, but what about, the bag you are packing it in?
Should I use a bag with wheels or just a duffel bag. I just keep thinking of all my stuff, husbands stuff and Lo stuff.
We live 45 min away from the hospital, so my husband wont be returning home a lot, just stopping by his parents house which is about 15 min away from the hospital.
I just dont want it to look like I am moving in.
What kind of bag did you pack your hospital stuff in?
Re: Hospital Bag wheels or no wheels?
WIth my first I packed too much. I really didn't use most of what we had. I would really go through your things and think if you will reallllly need them. My poor DH had to drag it all around so wheels or no wheels it was still a pain and unncessary.
We have a large suitcase with wheels..the largest you can bring on a plane, a carryon, a computer bag, a snack bag and a bedding bag. Yes, I look like I'm moving in, but we live 1 1/2 hours from the hospital and I've been in L&D a few times and always find more things I need. Also, I've been looking at an extended stay in L&D due to my induction process...so I need more stuff! :-)
BTW, people think it's nuts to pack that much, but I've been really glad to have it when I was there!
My only advice is pack light because you won't use half the stuff you bring and after all the gifts you get, you will have enough top take home.
But if you do end up with a lot, hopefully your hospital will have a cart you can use (mine did)

I am just bringing a duffel/overnight bag. Everyone, including my Dr., has told me to not overpack, so I am listening.
I am about 20 min. from the hospital so my DH is not bringing anything, he can go home to shower/rest/eat.
I am also only bringing two outfits for LO (NB size and 0-3 size) and a blanket that will then go home with DH for dog. So LO's stuff takes up about, umm, no room.
