ditto. since i breastfeed, i have to give it to her by dropper, and sometimes even the act of having her slowly drink it out of the dropper will be enough to calm her down a few notches, which can be a godsend when she is in a gas-induced/colicky frenzy.
Is one brand better than another? We have the Little Tummys brand but I havent used it yet.
I bought ours at a whole foods (type) store. I think it's like prenatal vitamins. There are different brands, but the same stuff in all of them. I could be wrong, though.
Our Pedi said that Gripe Water has Alcohol in it and "wouldn't recommend it". Our DS is SO gassy and we called to ask just before DH ran out to buy it. Did anyone anyone's pedi say it was ok? I know lots of people use it for gas an hiccups and I want to give it a try too.
I'll have to give it a try! Are there different brands or just one?
There are different brands, but they are all the same content. The difference is the price. I've been using it for about a week now, and I love the way it helps Eli. He was getting gassy and having a hard time passing it but the Gripe Water helps so much. Also, you can get it almost anywhere they sell infant supplements; sauch as Walgreens, CVS, Target.

hm, my bottle says specifically that it doesn't have alcohol in it. its ingredients are listed as organic, things like ginger, chamomile, fennel seed extract..
here is a link to the type i have, which includes a link to ingredients listing.
We use Baby Bliss brand (got it at walgreens)....I only use it one time a day usually if she is really uncomfortable screaming, legs up, arched back and it seems to calm her almost immediately.
This has been a lifesaver for us. Cadie would get really fussy every night at 8:30 and it would last until midnight. Now I give her the gripe water in her bottle around that time and we haven't had a single issue.
Re: Gripe Water ?
Amazing!! Buy a few at a time, and keep it in stock.
where can you get gripe water?
