Saying hello

Hi ladies.

I'm not sure I technically "belong" over here - but I figured you all might understand what I'm going through better than others.

I had DS (who is the light of our lives :)) 14 months ago, and it was a normal, uncomplicated pregnancy.  My delivery was fairly sucky (failed 3 day induction, turned c/s, DS was in major distress, etc.) but I don't have any lasting feelings about that... I'm just excited to have another baby...

...which, is turning in to a major project :-/  We've been trying for #2 since August of 2009.  I'm able to get pregnant fairly easily (despite having ridiculously long cycles, both my pregnancies were cd 60+ BFPs), but am apparently unable to sustain a pregnancy past 7 weeks :(

Despite only having 2 losses (and not 3) my OB agreed to send me to an RE for recurrent loss testing - for which I am grateful.  I feel so defeated and lost at the moment, I don't understand why I could have a perfectly normal pregnancy and then go on to lose two babies in a row :(

At the moment I'm concerned that I either have PCOS (thanks long cycles!) or have some kind of complication due to my c/s.  I'm not a doctor though, and I'm trying hard not to self-diagnose.  I am trying to wait patiently for my RE appointment, which will be some time in May.  We're not planning on trying again until July or August.

Anyway... sorry that was long :)  I just wanted to introduce myself.  I hope you ladies don't mind me hanging around here from time to time :)

Re: Saying hello

  • Welcome, and I hope your stay is short. I am so sorry for your losses. PCO can cause miscarriage, but it is hard to know. I hope you get answers from your RE. Good luck, and ask away here!

  • So sorry for the losses...I am sure an RE will be able to help you out. Have they checked your Thyroid? Always good to check your blood for any kind of clotting factors too. Good luck!
