What do u think finally did the trick? There was a post a few days ago where people were mentioned their babies crawled around 20 months or so. My 17 month old has been in PT almost 7 months and still has zero desire to be on her tummy or crawl (she scoots). Nothing has been found wrong, except weak muscles.I just cant imagine what'll ever light the fire under her butt. Thanks!
Re: If u had a late crawler...
We got a new PT about a month ago and she told me I need to ignore him and make him come to me for things because I apparently was always close enough to him that he knew he could whine and get me to come over and help him. She said to be sure to put things he really wanted out of his reach but in his sight. So sadly, I basically started ignoring him a little bit.
How does that sound for good advice??
Marley commando crawls so I guess it's not true crawling but the girls gets around amazingly fast!
Really, we didn't do anything. I though she wouldn't crawl and just walk as she loves to stand and hated being on her tummy. And she had no motivation to move. Absolutely nothing interested her. She was fine just looking at things.
then around 21 months she just started scooting on her tummy. Totally random. Now 4 months later she crawls towards anything and everything. Especially paper. The kid LOVES paper.
