3rd Trimester
Those of you close to 40 weeks...
What are you ladies doing to keep yourselves sane? I have broken down a couple times over the past couple days because I just want to be done with this pregancy and meet my baby girl. Yesterday I went and got a pedicure and then bought a "spa in a can" so that I could relax in the bathtub. Tonight I started a new book, but just can't stop thinking about how much I'd rather be at the hospital.
So what are you doing to keep busy?

Ah, the @sshole docs put me back on strict br, so now I bump to stay sane.
Oh, and I cry and fuss to my dogs. They don't tell anyone what a baby I am!
Well I have been complaining a lot! The only thing that gets me through is that I know that I'm being induced on Thursday. And I figure I can deal with just about anything for that long!
seriously, i'm trying to brainwash myself that the baby's not due for another two weeks.
it would help if i could come up with something to do during the day but there are so many things that are uncomfortable, like going to the movies or riding in the car for any amount of time.
i tried to elicit sexy time from dh but he just laid on the bed and covered his face pouting, "just do it already...." needless to say, that didn't happen because we just couldn't stop laughing that all i wanted was prostglandins from his sperm.
i need some better ideas i guess
I've been making freezer food, although it takes me a couple days to make something and actually get it in the freezer. I try and go for a waddle up the hill everyday just to get some air and hope to get things moving beyond the slight back cramping that I have been getting for the past couple weeks.
Oh, and today my love and I got married - just the two of us and the marriage commissioner. That was fun

Oh Mia, don't know if I could stand to be on bedrest right now. That's got to be just killer. Hopefully your DD makes her exit soon.
I have also been nesting like crazy but there is now nothing else to clean. And my body aches too much to get up and clean anyhow.
Good thing my husband lets me complain to him. I've been trying to tell everyone who asks me how I'm doing that I'm fine. I just don't want to be one of THOSE pregnant ladies who complains all the time.
I have an induction date set for next Friday so I guess I can hang in there for that long, I just feel like it's going to be the longest 5 days of my life.

Thanks for the congratulations. We have been meaning to get marreid for awhile, but never seemed to get around to it and his family is in Australia.
Still haven't told my family yet - thinking maybe wait till after baby is born (yes - baby, you do need to be born soon now!) to soften the blow. I figure a newborn will take some of the attention off of us "eloping"
Sounds like a good idea to me! How could they be upset about you eloping when they have a precious new LO in the family?
Haha! Maybe I should have let my house get messy too. My mom has been circling me like a shark to its prey. Perhaps giving her something to do would help? She's really just trying to be nice and I love her dearly but I just need a few minutes to myself every now and then.
I have cleaned almost everything in sight - except for the floor (which I made DH do) and the oven - which I'm saving for Monday- whoo hoo! I have baked more muffins then we can eat and have started feeding other people. I have also got at least three seperate craft projects on the go.
Today I went for a long walk and tonight DH is going to share some prostoglandins if I have my way! Best wishes to all of you and congrats on the wedding. I'm in BC too (Vancouver).
