I saw this mentioned on ShellShockedMama's profile. It sounds interesting and seems like it could help me becuase I have erratic cycles. Although, I am very weary about taking medication.
I took it in Dec/Jan, and got pregnant that cycle... and had a m/c. I didn't take it this past cycle, got pregnant... and had a m/c. I have a friend who took it one cycle, got pregnant, and also had a m/c. So who knows. I'm wary, but I think that's just from personal experience.
Vitex isn't a "medication" but it's herbal. many doctors don't trust herbal, however my MW didn't say it was bad for me to have taken it.
I TTC'd almost two years to get my first bfp which resulted in a m/c -- no supplements or anything during that time. I then started Vitex and got another bfp within three months and everything is still ok. I did stop the vitex soon after getting the bfp, but I've been told it's ok to still take in the first tri.
Also, I had a 7 day LP and after two months of Vitex it went to 11 days.
I will always praise Vitex, I think it worked for me, but everyone's experiences are different. I know babes12 is on it now and she's seeing improvements in her LP.
Re: Vitex, Anyone?
I would ask your doctor about it.

I just started taking it. From what I read it seems to be pretty safe
