WTF Aunt Flo? And DON'T use CVS Pregnancy Tests!

WHY is my body deciding to drive me crazy? I should have started my period Thursday and it still hasn't shown up. I took two of the CVS pregnancy tests yesterday that use the blue dye, one first thing in the morning and one mid day. Both of them had a faint line show up within a couple minutes. I got so freaking excited. I took another test this morning, this time using the EPT one with the pink dye and it's a big fat negative. I went online and found out that apparently the blue dye ones are bad about showing a false positive, even when you look at them in the required time limit. I'm so upset. I was so happy yesterday. Why won't my freaking period just show up and get it over with? I have had the usual pre-period symptoms and stuff. I'm NEVER late, I'm like a freaking clock with my period, so why is it choosing to be late now? Have any of you had this happen before? I feel like my body is screwing with me...............

    awww hun!  Don't get down!  Remember that you are not out until AF shows her face!  I would wait another day (if you can) and try re-testing with a FRER test.  Blue dye tests are notorious for poor results.  Don't ever use them.  Try to keep your chin up!  *hugs*

    Thanks Lisa, it's just so frustrating. And, I'm going to dinner with my family tonight and all I thought about yesterday was how awesome it would be to be able to tell them I was pregnant.

    Take another test in a couple of days.  Its not over until you get AF.  Good luck!
    I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

    This happened to me this month.  I thought OMG could it be a spontaneous pregnancy?  Nope said my broken ute!!!!  It will happen for both of us very soon with all this positive bump power flying around. I actually called my RE to help get my lazy AF started.

    When I got pg with DD, I tested with a pink dye test and got a -, but the blue dye test said +.  I went for my beta the next day and it was 96.  Maybe you should call your dr and tell them you got a BFP and want a beta.  Hoping that the pink dye test is wrong.  GL!

    Blue dye tests are EVIL.....I found out the hard way too. But, since AF hasn't shown up, you're still in the game.....Good luck and maybe a pink test will give you the bfp soon.

    1 ectopic 3 m/c's prior to 5/05 Un-freaking-explained IF 5/05 IVF, BFN 9/05 FET 3d5e, BFP = Beautiful Baby Girl (lucky pg #5) 8/08 Fet 3d5e, cp 12/08 IVF with PGD, transfer 3, BFN 5/09 FET transfer 4, BFN Hail Mary IUI with Follistim 9/11 BFP; 9/22 confirmed tubal/MTX 4/10 FET 3d5e, BFP!!!! m/c 5/26/10 1 year break and yet another m/c 5/11 FET #5 initial beat 121, second beta 7 Lap and removal of L tube and very mild endo 7/11 Suprise BFP 12/11 & m/c @ 8 wks. After 11 losses and one beautiful miracle our journey is over, we are thankful and at peace.

    Thanks everybody. As of this morning, still no visit from AF, and still a big fat negative on the FRER test. I'm going to take your advice and call the dr and see if they'll just get me in for a blood test. This is so annoying. I hate getting my hopes up. I don't feel any different other than a touch of crampiness that comes and goes, but I usually have that before my period. My bewbies are slightly tender but I also have that during my period too.

    Ok, AF is offically here. Usually I have a light day of spotting and then it hits hard, but about an hour ago I went to the bathroom and there is was, full on. Darn!!

    Sorry to hear that!  Maybe you'll have better luck next month. 

    I had 3 false positive blue dye tests one month. It was very disappointing.  Blue dye tests are evil.
