1st Trimester

I mean Really!!!! (vent)

So DH keeps talking today about how much he has to get done today how he wants to mow and work around the farm etc.  I say to him this morning you know I could mow so you can do some of the other stuff... he says NO... I mean seriously I am pregnant not an invalid... sigh.... I know its our first child but really????  I got all huffy and he sort of conceded but I mean we have a riding mower.  It takes 1.5 hours to mow the whole property... yes the ground is not all that even and yes im still in my 1st tri but surely mowing is not going to put us over the top...

Am I just blind to all this or do I have a reason to be irritated..lol

  • I get what you're saying but remember, this is his first child too. He's being cautious. Yes, you can mow the lawn, but I wouldn't be offended. he loves you both.

  • Just be thankful your husband is understanding about pregnancy.  :) You could have a real jerk for a husband who expected you to do everything around the house.
  • Agree to both above post!
  • My DH mentioned hiring a lawn service this summer (baby-induced financial panic has him working like a crazy man).  I told him that even thought I don't like mowing the lawn and will avoid it if at all humanly possible, I can still do it.  It's not like I can't take breaks...I just can't mow with a beer anymore!

  • My BIL when he found out, wouldn't let me lift even a chair, when we were trying to get everything ready for my parents surprise retirement party..

Ugh I kept glaring at him, and would pick up two chairs at a time and walk away from him, and he's behind me yelling at me, and I go up to my sister who is married to him, and told her, to shut her husband up..

I love my BIL but he is such a brat sometimes, and over protective... I know it comes from a good intentions, but still its annoying espically for someone like me, I'm such a tomboy, and to have someone tell me I can't do it, makes me want to do it more just to prove them wrong! LOL

This!! This is my 2nd but DH's first so I'm soaking up all the princess treatment I can this time around. I worked my you know what off and had to do everything by myself with DD being a single parent so I would say if he doesn't want you to do much, then don't argue :) haha

  • Oh don't feel so bad!  My husband and I own a furniture store and here I am helping people carry dressers and couches out today!
