So I'm torn. I like a few names that end in -er (Oliver, Jasper, etc.), but our last name is Foster. What do you think --- do the two -er sounds make it sound funny or am I just overthinking this? If it helps, his middle name will probably be Layne, after my father.
TIA!

Re: First and Last Names Ending With the Same Sound
Don't do it! I had the same problem with so many names I liked. I'm glad I picked a name that flows 100% with my last name. I think it would have bothered me sooo much otherwise.

I'm sorry! I just had to share...because you asked!
If it makes you feel better, I am having a rough time choosing a name for our girl...because we have a LONG last name to work with.

You ladies rock! And I'm grateful for the input - I wouldn't have asked otherwise. Choosing a name is sooo hard! Good luck to those of you that are still struggling to name your soon to be addition as well!
Both my DH and I have first/last name combos ending in the -on sound (his is -an first name, but still)
I think it is very sing-songy and it bugs. Which is why I ruled out any names with that same sound.
And Preston Weston? Really, did they EVER say that name out loud before naming him? Ouch.
